With Halloween coming up, we wanted to share a few of our favorite health tricks to keep blood sugar stable and tummy aches at bay, along with some of our favorite healthy treats. It’s so important to loosen up and enjoy all the fun holiday festivities that life has to offer, but it’s nice to do so while also taking care of yourself and those around you.
Simple health tricks to incorporate for optimal health:

Eat a well balanced meal before consuming sweets. “Put some clothes on your carbs” says Jessie Inchauspé. Jessie, the acclaimed Glucose Goddess, is one of our favorite accounts to follow for learning all things blood sugar balance. Eat veggies first, followed by a fat and/or protein, then enjoy your sweets, which will lead to a lower glucose spike.

Take 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar about 30 minutes before eating. If the vinegar is too acidic for your liking, dilute it in water. This trick helps in maintaining healthy blood sugar levels as well as contributing to healthy digestion and decreasing bloat.
